ALPMA NSW / ACT Committee will host the Practice Managers Discussion Group at lunch on Wednesday, 22nd February. Taking the form of a small discussion group, this is a great forum for Practice Managers to network, discuss any hot topics, and share ideas from your firm.

This is a FREE event for ALPMA members and non members who are eligible to join ALPMA (no vendors please).

Law Firm Operations in 2023: The new normal

The ‘way we work’ and ‘where we work’ have changed so much since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With many parts of everyday life returning to pre-pandemic settings, we explore what has changed in law firm operations, how people are now working together and what returning to the office looks like as we plan ahead for 2023.  At the same time, as we continue to live with COVID-19 in the community, we can discuss what settings might be impacted by further COVID-19 waves over the next 12 months.

To get us started, we’ll explore the following issues:

  • What does hybrid working look like for your firm?
  • How has the work environment changed since COVID-19?
  • How are your people transitioning back into the office?
  • What would you do differently in response to future ‘waves’ of the virus in the community?
  • Generally, what are your focus areas for the coming year?

The NSW/ACT Practice Manager Club will be hosting the discussion group throughout 2023, with sessions planned for ever three months on the last Wednesday of the month. Our current dates are:

  • Wednesday, 22 February
  • Wednesday, 31 May
  • Wednesday, 30 August
  • Wednesday, 29 November

If you would like to suggest some discussion topics or submit your interest in attending an in-person ALPMA event outside of Sydney CBD, please contact us or provide feedback via the NSW/ACT Event survey here.

For those who are located outside of Sydeny or are unable to attend in-person, we would like to hear from you about how our NSW/ACT Branch events can benefit our members.

As the last three years have been challenging to plan face-to-face seminars and networking events, we are seeking member feedback on how the NSW/ACT Branch can best cater for your ability and interest in attending in-person events in NSW & the ACT. As part of the ALPMA community, your feedback is of great importance to us, so we can ensure as many of our members can benefit from our in-person L&D events as possible this financial year.
