Neal Blackburn, The Management Mentors

Last year’s session — How Successful Firms Turn Debtors into Cash — sparked a lot of discussion about how to collect faster and protect client relationships. This year, we are taking it a step further.

Join Neal Blackburn, Director of The Management Mentors, as he shares what has happened since then — real data, real firms, and real results. Over the last year, some firms have implemented the Put More Cash in the Bank programme, transforming their cash position and reducing stress across their leadership teams.
In this webinar, you will see:

  • How one firm went from constant overdraft pressure to a positive cash position
  • The financial and operational benefits of steady cash flow
  • The impact on partner wellbeing and firm focus — moving from chasing money to growing the business

Guiding principle: Cash is the fuel that powers your firm’s growth. Without it, even profitable firms can stall. This practical, data-driven session will show you what’s possible when law firms make cash flow a strategic priority — and how you can apply the same approach in your firm.

Neal Blackburn
Director at The Management Mentors

I work alongside leaders of professional service firms, with a particular focus on law firms. Through The Management Mentors Ltd, my role is to help firms cut through complexity, bring focus to what really matters, and create the clarity and confidence needed to achieve meaningful results.

My career has spanned senior executive roles in law, accounting, and professional services, giving me a clear understanding of the challenges mid-sized firms face. These range from managing financial performance and building leadership capability, through to improving processes and standing out in competitive markets.

The experience I bring — including time as Chief Executive of a regional law firm, Chief Operating Officer of a national accounting firm, and General Manager of a surveying business — enables me to guide firms with perspective and insight. My goal is always the same: to help leaders make confident decisions that move their firms forward.
