How is the legal landscape changing in 2025?

ALPMA and principal Summit partner Dye & Durham are excited to investigate changes to the Australasian legal landscape over the past 12-months and how firms are adapting to rapid changes in the legal market. Now in its fifth year, the survey explores how firms are responding to pressures in strategy, people, technology, AI, and well-being.

Trailblazing Tomorrow: People, Technology and Law on the New Frontier

The 2025 Changing Legal Landscape Report, produced by ALPMA and Dye & Durham, draws on the experiences of nearly 200 law firms across Australia and New Zealand. What emerges is a picture of a profession at a crossroads: optimistic about the future, yet navigating fundamental shifts in technology, client expectations, and the needs of its people.

The findings of the survey were released at the 2025 ALPMA Summit, held 3-5 September at the International Convention Centre, Sydney.
