The Australasian Legal Practice Management Association (ALPMA) is excited to confirm LEAP Legal Software as Principal Partner for the 2026 and 2027 ALPMA Summit + ALTACON conference, with the 2026 conference taking place 9-11 September at the newly opening Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre in Geelong. LEAP is a long‑standing supporter of the ALPMA Summit and has been a valued partner to both ALPMA and the Australasian Legal Technology Alliance (ALTA) for over 10 years.

The 2026 Summit + ALTACON program centres on the theme “Rewind to Recharge: Accelerate into the future”, exploring how firms can reclaim the wisdom, skills and principles that built great law firms, then pair those foundations with the cutting-edge legal technology tools available today and into the future. Delegates will examine how technology intersects with the timeless fundamentals: strategic business thinking, trusted client relationships, effective people management, ethical leadership and the irreplaceable power of human judgment.

ALPMA CEO Emma Elliott said LEAP’s partnership reflects the critical role of technology‑enabled practice management in preparing firms for the future.

“We’re delighted to welcome LEAP as Principal Partner for the Business of Law Summit + ALTACON in 2026 and 2027. LEAP’s leadership and investment in legal practice management technology, coupled with their commitment to practical capability-building, aligns with our mission to empower and elevate professional business management leaders across Australasia.
— Emma Elliott, CEO, ALPMA

LEAP ANZ CEO Tina Shergold said the organisation is proud to continue supporting an event that brings the legal community together to share insights and accelerate innovation.

“We’re thrilled to partner once again with ALPMA and ALTA for the 2026 and 2027 Summit + ALTACON conference, now as Principal Partner. LEAP has always been committed to empowering law firms with technology that improves efficiency, accuracy and profitability, which we believe reflect the foundational principles captured by this year’s conference theme. We’re very excited to return to the Exhibition Hall, engage with the legal community and showcase what modern practice management can achieve.”
— Tina Shergold, CEO, LEAP ANZ

The 2026 conference will once again feature ALTACON, a dedicated stage for technology content within the Exhibition Hall. ALTACON is delivered in partnership with the Australasian Legal Technology Association (ALTA), a community of Australasian legal technology companies committed to lifting the digital capability of the Australasian legal profession at scale. Through education, community and connection, ALTA is on a mission to ensure the Australasian legal profession is confident, competent and future-ready in its use of technology. The ALTACON program this year focuses on practical, foundational guidance that helps firms get their data, processes and systems ready for sustainable technology adoption.

This year’s event will be hosted at the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, a landmark new venue on the Geelong waterfront. Purpose‑built for major conferences and designed to showcase the region’s cultural identity, Nyaal Banyul will offer the ALPMA Summit state‑of‑the‑art facilities, exhibition and learning spaces, a unique regional menu, and seamless access to accommodation, dining and transport.

Emma Elliott says that “hosting this year’s event at the brand‑new Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre is incredibly exciting. It’s a world‑class venue that reflects the innovation and forward‑looking spirit we aim to embody at the ALPMA Summit each year.”

Delegates will also enjoy the refreshing change of pace of Geelong, one of Australia’s fastest‑growing regional cities. The area is an emerging hub for innovation, culture and coastal lifestyle, with its revitalised waterfront precinct, vibrant arts scene, stunning surrounding landscapes, and proximity to the iconic Great Ocean Road.

“Taking the Summit to Geelong gives delegates the chance to step outside their everyday environment, which is important in today’s busy-culture” says Emma Elliott. “We hope delegates will find space to feel inspired, to think differently, challenge assumptions, and engage in conversations that might not surface in more familiar surroundings.”

“We also look forward to connecting with the legal community of Geelong who live and work there every day,” she continues, “and who hopefully will have some local tips to share with delegates.”

The 2026 ALPMA Summit + ALTACON will feature keynotes, workshops, breakout sessions and demonstrations designed to equip firms with the essential capabilities that create successful, sustainable practices. The program will also have a dedicated Small Firm stream, which will focus on practical takeaways for firms grappling with less available capacity and resources. The annual event is also known for its bustling Exhibition Hall, where delegates can enjoy a range of activations, product demonstrations, and valuable one-on-one conversations with leading industry providers, including Principal Partner, LEAP.

Keynote speakers, such as world-renowned Legal Sector Analyst and Forecaster, Jordan Furlong of L21, will be headlining this year’s Summit program. Early Bird registrations for the 2026 conference will open in May, with ALPMA Corporate Subscriber firms able to access this early bird pricing for all employees until the close of standard registration on 21 August 2026
