Our client is seeking an experienced Western Australian legal practitioner or legal manager (eg. Senior Practice Manager) to facilitate the Legal Practice Management Course (LPMC), a key program supporting lawyers stepping into leadership and practice‑management roles.

This flexible, part‑time contractor role suits a senior professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring and sharing practical insights from real‑world legal practice.

About the Role

The LPMC is delivered 6–7 times per year, mostly online over a 5 day period, with one in‑person intake in Perth. You will deliver approximately 60% of workshop content, with guest presenters delivering the remainder.
All course materials are provided.
Key responsibilities include:
● Facilitating LPMC workshops
● Assessing risk management plans and business plans
● Providing constructive feedback and supporting participant learning
● Collaborating with guest presenters and the program team
● Confident use of digital platforms (LMS, online delivery tools)

About You

You are a credible senior WA professional with strong legal practice management experience and deep familiarity with WA risk management frameworks.

You will bring:

• Strong WA legal practice management experience (essential)
• Confidence facilitating workshops and using scenario‑based examples
• Excellent communication and professional judgement
• Digital confidence for online delivery and marking
• Ability to manage workloads flexibly (after hours/weekends if preferred)

Ideal candidates may include:

• Senior professionals with practice‑management experience (including Lawyers or Legal Practice Managers, Legal Operations Managers, Senior Management roles in Legal firms)
• Principals or former principals
• Practitioners seeking flexible adjunct work
• Semi‑retired professionals wanting meaningful professional engagement

Engagement Model & Remuneration

• This role is offered on an independent contractor basis.
• A future part-time FTE fixed‑term contract may be explored for the right candidate.

Location
WA‑based candidates strongly preferred.
East‑coast candidates are considered highly familiar with WA practice. If not based in Perth you would need to self-fund your travel to Perth for the once-a-year in-person course.
