CBD. We are seeking a professional and reliable Legal Secretary / Administrative Assistant to join its
close-knit team. With a longstanding reputation for excellence in Personal Injuries law, MurphySchmidt

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who takes pride in

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting precedent letters and preparing court documents
• Preparing briefs for Counsel and supporting trial preparation
• Diary management and client appointments
• Coordinating travel arrangements and handling statutory refunds
• Digital dictation, word processing, scanning, binding and photocopying
• Reception support, answering calls and taking messages
• Maintaining accurate database records and electronic filing systems
• Managing safe custody documents and general administrative duties

You will work closely with 2–3 professionals, including the firm’s Principals, and will be trusted to
manage a diverse workload with independence and initiative.

About You:

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a Legal Secretary or Administrative Assistant role (preferred)
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional in communication and confident liaising with stakeholders
• Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a positive team culture
• Experience with iManage, LawDocs or Open Practice is advantageous
• Willing to work from our Brisbane CBD office and support pro bono initiatives
