Sleep Health: What is it? Why does it matter? How do we improve it?
Sleep disorders and poor sleep health are common. Sleep is the third pillar of health alongside nutrition and physical activity, and suboptimal sleep health carries significant burden. Treating poor sleep carries many benefits, yet we are only just beginning to consider how best to support sleep health across many clinical and workplace settings. Understanding what healthy sleep is, dispelling common sleep myths, setting up healthy routines around sleep, and knowing when to seek help are good ways to optimise sleep and wellbeing.
Attendees will walk away with;
- Understanding the importance of sleep and the most common sleep difficulties
- Awareness of common sleep myths and what sleeping healthy is
- Evaluating your own sleep health
- Practical steps to improve your sleep health (including professional support if necessary).
Who should attend?
- If you are curious about sleep or have a sleep question
- If you would like to hear some tips to optimise your sleep
- If you’d like advice about seeking professional support for a sleep difficulty
6 November at 12:30pm
