Legal workplaces face a unique set of psychosocial risks, including exposure to traumatic material, occupational violence and aggression, emotionally demanding client interactions, high work demands and the pressures experienced by early-career practitioners.
In this practical session, Dr. Sarah Cotton and Dr. Eleanor De Ath-Miller from Transitioning Well (TW) will be joined by Amy Harman, Head of Inclusion and Experience at Lander & Rogers, to share practical insights and the approach in place to strengthen psychological health and wellbeing within a leading Australian law firm.
Together, the presenters will explore the key psychosocial risks emerging across legal workplaces and discuss what good practice looks like in action. Drawing on TW’s experience supporting the legal sector and Lander & Rogers' practical experience, the session will examine emerging challenges, key insights, and approaches being adopted to support psychologically healthier, and more sustainable legal careers and workplaces.
Participants will leave with practical insights, tangible ideas and evidence-informed strategies they can apply within their own firms to strengthen psychological health and wellbeing outcomes.
