In December 2023 and February 2024, the Government passed significant new workplace laws as part of its Fair Work Legislation Amendments (Closing Loophole) reforms.
These amendments impact employers across Australia. Join Aitken Legal’s Special Counsel, Hamish Procter, who will provide a comprehensive explanation of what these changes mean for businesses and how to ensure you are meeting your updated workplace obligations.
In this session Hamish will cover three key areas of the reform:
• The new ‘right to disconnect’;
• The new definition of ‘employment’ and how that impacts on the employee v contractor question; and
• The changes to the casual employment concept and casual conversion rights.
Who should attend:
• Practice Managers
• HR Managers
• General Managers
• Managing Principals / Partners
This seminar will be recorded and made available in our On Demand library after the live event.
