Cloud solutions facilitate law firms to focus on achieving their business goals, with performance at the core.
A cost-effective solution, the Cloud leverages security, mobility, flexibility, agility, and scalability combined with existing processes, to raise business performance to a new level.

The major motivation behind moving to a cloud solution for many law firms is it’s cost effectiveness. Migrating to the Cloud offsets the time, resource and monetary costs spent on maintaining foundational IT infrastructure such as hardware and servers. Instead, firms can focus their time and energy on business value and client acquisition.

Cloud PMS

well-designed cloud practice management system, for example, will not only boost performance, but also help establish a flexible business model that can pivot quickly in response to changing competitive and environmental trends. According to a 2017 Verizon study, 77% of businesses feel cloud technology gives them a competitive advantage, and 16% believe this advantage is significant.

Adopting a Cloud-based approach to practice management software can propel major efficiency and productivity gains as law firms discover simple, secure, and scalable ways to deliver enriched customer experiences.

Without a doubt, the benefits of moving to the Cloud are far-reaching. Some of these benefits include:

  • Stronger security and compliance delivered in a cost-effective manner
  • A more productive and collaborative workforce with increased flexibility for remote work
  • Improved efficiency with flexible IT spending, workload automation and agile adaptability to changing business conditions
  • Simpler scalability with a smarter allocation of resources based on actual demand
  • Major cost savings though reduced IT, hardware, and human resource expenses

As the legal sector expands its understanding of the varied benefits of Cloud solutions, law firms are becoming more willing to migrate their business systems, such as their legal practice management software, to the Cloud.

A recent article published by the ABA Journal, highlights the speed of cloud adoption in the legal sector, stating that the percentage of firms using cloud computing software increased from 76% before the global COVID-19 pandemic, to 88% at the time of the survey less than two years later. According to the research, the types of cloud-based software relied upon by firms varied, with law practice management software coming in at the top at 23%, followed by document management software (13%), calendar management software (12%) and credit card online payment tools (12%).

In a nutshell, the Cloud is a scalable, flexible, and secure solution for law firms looking to modernise their operations and secure the future of their business.
