Job Details

In this role, you’ll lead and manage a broad range of commercial and corporate matters, advise on and draft business agreements and oversee business and share sales. You’ll work closely with clients from diverse industries, develop and mentor team members, and contribute to strategic planning and business growth.

Who should apply?

This is an opportunity for a driven, commercially minded leader with:

• 5+ years as a Senior Lawyer specialising in commercial law
• Demonstrated ability to lead, grow, and develop a high-performing team
• Proven track record in building and maintaining client and referrer relationships
• Strong technical base in commercial law, including commercial contracts and commercial transactions
• Senior level experience in a reputable boutique or mid-tier firm

What does a typical day involve?

• Leading and managing complex commercial matters, including business and share sales, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
• Advising clients on structuring, drafting, and reviewing a broad range of commercial contracts—such as terms of trade, service and supply agreements, distribution and procurement contracts, PPSA, and commercial leases.
• Building and nurturing client and referrer relationships and driving business development initiatives.
• Mentoring and developing junior lawyers and overseeing high-quality file work.
• Driving business development and strategic growth for the Sydney office
• Managing key client and referrer relationships, and introducing new work
• Overseeing high-quality file work and ensuring consistent application of firm systems and processes
• Contributing to the firm’s leadership team and strategic planning
