As CEO of Community Hubs Australia, Sonja has built a coalition of governments, schools, partners, and philanthropy to fund a network of 100 thriving hubs across Australia. Hubs provide life changing connection and opportunities for isolated women and children.

As President of the North Melbourne Football Club, Sonja has worked with her Board to oversee the appointment of Alastair Clarkson as coach and Jen Watt as the AFL’s first female club CEO. Sonja is passionate about creating a one-club culture, centred around success on and off the field, with members at its core.

Sonja has two adult children, lives in Melbourne with her partner and their dog, and after navigating the challenges of breast cancer in 2023, is looking forward to continuing her bucket-list travel adventures.

Nitsa Brown joined Holman Webb Lawyers as People and Culture Manager in March 2023.  Nitsa is a Certified Practitioner with the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) and is an experienced Human Resources Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the legal services industry.  Nitsa has a strong background in HR, Finance and general Practice Management, and solid experience in executing and implementing strategic workforce strategies to achieve desired business objectives.  She is a member of ALPMA, The Australian Legal Sector HR Association and the Australian HR Institute (AHRI).

Nitsa loves travelling and experiencing different cultures. In 2001, she made Australia her home after residing in South Africa, the USA, and Greece. She is also the proud mother of two daughters, Charlotte  (15) and Lauren (11).

Scott McKenzie

Scott McKenzie is a Director at Velocity Legal, a law firm that he and three colleagues started from the cramped confines of an office the size of a shoebox back in 2016. Since then, the firm has grown to a team of more than 40. Originally a commercial lawyer, Scott later transitioned to Chief Operating Officer. He is passionate about continuous improvement – both at work and beyond.
