Event Overview

Facilitated by Ann-Maree David, CEO of College of Law and 2018 ALPMA Summit Chair, our QLD Committee Members and special guests on their key take outs from Summit 2018.

During this session, panelists will share with you their light bulb moments and how they will bring back that knowledge into their firms.  This is not a session just for those who did not get to attend summit!  Want to know what happened in the streams you were not able to attend?  Why not challenge your own take away messages and take the opportunity to learn from others experience?

Facilitator - Ann-Maree David, CEO, College of Law, Queensland

Ann-Maree has worked within the Queensland legal profession for more than 30 years, in public and corporate sector roles and in private practice as a solicitor. Ann-Maree has devoted much of her career to working in legal education and professional legal training. 

She established the Queensland campus of the College of Law in 2003 and has directed its operations for 15 years.  She is proud of its rapid growth and what has been achieved in that time including recognition as Queensland's leading provider of practical legal training.  

In 2018 Ann-Maree received the Queensland Law Society's Agnes McWhinney Award which recognises outstanding professional or community contribution by a woman lawyer and the significant involvement of women in the legal profession and the community.

Ann-Maree currently serves as the President of Australian Women Lawyers, Vice President of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland, Foundation Director of the Australian Gender Equality Council and Chair of the Queensland Law Society's Equity and Diversity Committee.
