Meet Tony Pearson, Futureconomics

Futurenomics is an economics consultancy which specialises in telling it like it is.  It was founded in early 2009 by Tony Pearson following nearly 3 decades experience in providing economic advice at the highest levels in the public and private sectors.

Futurenomics is not aligned with any “product” group and so clients have complete confidence that the economic views are untainted by the need to achieve a particular commercial outcome.  Its guiding motto is “foresight is the key to success”.

Tony Pearson, founder and Managing Director of Futurenomics, has extensive experience speaking on economic issues across Europe, Asia, US and Australia.

Tony began his career with Australia’s central bank, the Reserve Bank of Australia, and over 17 years worked in economic research, market operations, international, and including a year in London as European Representative.

Tony has held a number of senior roles  in the private sector, including positions as Global Head of Economics in the Markets Division of the National Australia Bank, and  Deputy Chief Economist of the ANZ.  

Tony is co author of a book on International Financial Markets which is recommended by the Australian Bankers Association.

Tony formerly had his own economics commentary slot on commercial TV, on Channel 7’s Sunrise program, appropriately titled The Pearson Report.
