Meet Andrew Chen & Simon Patterson WHK Horwath
Andrew and Simon are Principals of WHK Horwath EIS, a leading accounting and consulting firm. They are both Chartered Accountants with considerable experience in the professional services sector.
In particular, Andrew’s experience in professional service firms comes from working with both leading national firms and sole practitioners over many years developing an understanding of the unique issues they face and tailoring solutions to fit their needs. He has worked closely with firms on their transition to incorporation, financial integration and mergers, funding structures, creating lead KPI measurements, facilitating financial strategy and advising on service trust requirements. He has recently been involved with the ATO on service trusts and the use of alternative firm structures.
He has a keen interest in practice profit improvement strategies, tax planning, structures and performance measurement of professional service firms. He presents regularly to new partners of law firms on financial and tax issues.
Simon's work in the legal sector has been focused over many years on advising firms and individuals in relation to tax structuring, service trust issues and the myriad of issues around starting new businesses.
With over 23 years experience, Simon has skills that assist professional services firms in the areas of taxation advice and business consulting, shareholder value concepts, and the development and facilitation of strategic growth plans and various advisory board positions.
Simon has also been involved with the development and growth of WHK Horwath's business consulting division. Included in this division are facilities relating to strategic planning, financial budgets and forecasting, benchmarking and performance reviews.
